As I wandered through the ruins I came across an ancient image of the goddess on a cave wall. This is She, Mother Earth, Goddess of Pazardzik, Bulgaria, c. 4000B.C.E.

Thank you Heather! Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to upload the image correctly, so the right hand side is missing!! For anyone interested to know how it was made, I began by painting textured acrylic medium on watercolour paper, then painted washes of acrylic paint in layers of colours, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next. Then stamped goddess related images using gold paint here and there, followed by a spraying of black webbing paint. The actual goddess image was painted and coloured using watercolour crayons and pencilsm stuck on to background, and then edged with puff paint and embossing powders, finished with a ring of golden wax around outer edges of image!!
